This charity was founded by Prof Miranda Brawn which was her innovative idea ready to be launched since 2006.
Our mission is to eliminate the diversity, equity and inclusion
gaps in the professional workplace and beyond through
education and empowerment for future leaders since our
launch on 4th January 2016.
Our purpose is to help to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace.

WHO WE ARE
The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation is a multi-award winning Charity focused on education, building self-confidence, career development and networking opportunities, to uncover diverse talent with the potential for leadership success in the workplace.
We design and deliver innovative educational, leadership programmes, educational talks and skills-building workshops. We cater for young people from all backgrounds.
We launched our '1 Million Young People' 10 Year Strategy (from 2025 to 2035) on our tenth-year anniversary to help "1 Million Young people". Join us today to help us reach "1 Million Young People" around the world as part of our strategy called "From Classroom to the Boardroom."

TMBDLF Scholarship Winners 2025
at UK House of Lords
Below are a few innovative initiatives where we have partnered with a few organisations to progress human rights in the UK and globally, support our next generation of leaders from diverse backgrounds with a special award at Oxford University and also develop an independent research report focused on the boardroom called 'The Brawn Review' commenced at Oxford University and was completed at Roehampton University.
TMBDLF 'GLOBAL GENDER HUMAN RIGHTS'
The TMBDLF 'Global Gender Human Rights' initiative (TMBDLF GGHR) aims to fight against injustice against women and girls while suporting women and girls who face discrimination, stigma, violence and criminalisation across the UK and globally.
This was launched during International Women's Month 2024 with the goal of advancing women's and girl's human rights, while working towards eliminating gender discrimination and associated intersectional discrimination. This will be through various collaborations and partnerships with gender focused organisatons like Action Aid UK.
This launch included an innovative and new tailored scholarship called "Global Gender Human Rights" to support our next generation of human rights leaders for 2024.
'The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation Awards' (previously called 'Dr Miranda Brawn Awards')
at The University of Oxford 2021-2026
Funding support for a self-directed project for talented diverse students from low-income households who are studying at the University of Oxford. Deadline is in May each year. A new award will be launched in 2027.
THE BRAWN REVIEW
Boardroom Sustainability, Inclusion and Governance (SIG)
Professor Miranda Brawn announced the commencement of the independent research report in 2022 at the start of her role as a resident Visiting Fellow at Oxford University called 'The Brawn Review: Boardroom Sustainability, Inclusion and Governance'. The final research report findings and 50 recommendations are from 1,000 global board members across 24 sectors. Part of the report launch included a media appearance on Bloomberg Television and Radio prior to the 10th Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Annual Lecture and Awards Ceremony on 16 October 2025 at the UK House of Lords.

Four Boardroom roundtable discussions have taken place in 2026 with global board members across different sectors hosted by global organisations, House of Commons and
Lord Davies, Founder of the inaugural boardroom report called The Davies Review.
The updated recommendations will be presented to the UK Government, Cabinet Office and other global large and SME organisations in late 2026.
TMBDLF LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD(S)
You can nominate deserving candidate(s) for the esteemed TMBDLF Lifetime Achievement Award(s). This prestigious recognition honours individual(s) with a career of at least 30 years, whose remarkable achievements have improved the lives of young people in relation to diversity, equality, inclusion, education and career, and whose contributions, leadership, and influence have been pivotal to TMBDLF and widely recognised within the broader UK community.
The first four winner were announced on 16 October 2025 at the UK House of Lords.
Thereafter, each year will include a new winner to be announced at each annual lecture event.

The successful recipient(s) will be selected by TMBDLF in August each year, and TMBDLF will contact the person thereafter. The nominations must be submitted by 31 July each year.
They will be awarded the TMBDLF Lifetime Achievement Award at the Annual Lecture Event with an opportunity to appear as a future guest on The D.A.R.E. Podcast and to support TMBDLF as a Patron/Ambassador and/or Supporter.

The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Annual Lecture 2016 made UK history for being the first of its kind on 16th October 2016. This was complimented by our leading and innovative educational diversity scholarships across many sectors for students which have inspired many others to follow our lead.
